Batgirl had a motorcycle that she used to pursue criminal activity and aid her detective work alongside the Dynamic Duo. During this time, Barbara had a change of career from librarian to Assistant District Attorney, working alongside Commissioner Gordon. Beforehand she would appear whenever they needed her help. The main distinction Filmations series had was that Batman and Robin were voiced by Adam West and Burt Ward, the lead actors of the Batman live action television series.She kept this secret only to herself, until about a decade later when she finally revealed her identity to Batman and Robin. The series was produced concurrently with Super Friends produced by the competing Hanna-Barbera Productions which included Batman and Robin as members. As a result, he wears a variant of Batmans costume and attempts to help him, only to often create more problems although he is occasionally an asset. Complicating matters is Bat-Mite, a well meaning extra-dimensional imp who considers himself the biggest fan of the superhero. In this series, anyway, The Dynamic Duo fight crime in Gotham City which often involves the classic rogues gallery as well as original villains. It should be noted that before The New Adventures Of Batman, Filmation createdand aired on CBS in 1968another Batman series (without Bat-Mite), named The Batman/Superman Hour (paired up with his old Superman/Superboy episodes) and then renamed as The Adventures Of Batman & Robin. The episodes from this series were later aired along with other Filmation showssuch as Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle (1976, CBS)as part of: the Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour (1977≡978 CBS), Tarzan and the Super 7 (1978≡980 CBS), and Batman and the Super 7 (1980≡981 NBC). It originally premiered in February 1977 on CBS. The New Adventures of Batman is an animated series produced by Filmation in 1977 featuring the adventures of the DC Comics superheroes, Batman, Robin and often Batgirl.
